Shield-focused frontline protector. Read separately sourced Taiwan weapon and role details, purpose-specific choices and a local build worksheet.
Templar in the official overviews
Global class overview: Shield-focused frontline protector.
Taiwan guide — 守護星: Sword and shield. Frontline tank using a one-handed sword and shield. Has skills that protect allies as well as personal defenses.
The weapon and detailed role statements are from the Taiwan guide. They are not numerical Global build testing or proof that every regional patch uses identical effects.
Taiwan starter choices: learn a documented interaction
Practice gathering an eligible target, a self-protection action and its enabled follow-up; compare a party shield when unlocked.
Official Taiwan skill names are retained so you can find them in that client. English labels explain the task; they are not verified Global skill names. Use only choices you have actually unlocked, and equip a Stigma only when available. These four options are not an equip-all loadout, a point allocation or a strongest rotation.
Target pull
捕獲 / active
Choose this when bringing an eligible enemy toward you is useful.
Why compare it: A pull solves a positioning task rather than merely adding another damage skill.
- The text describes a pull and possible bind. Do not promise that bosses or control-immune targets can be pulled.

Self-heal and protection setup
庇護一擊 / active
Use the self-centred attack as the practice tray’s self-heal/protection action and look for 審判 becoming available.
Why compare it: This one skill has an explicit follow-up relationship in the official guide.
- Its 庇護 effect raises damage resistance; exact duration and magnitude are not provided.

Shield-action follow-up
審判 / active
Place 審判 next to 庇護一擊 and use it when enabled.
Why compare it: This teaches the documented trigger instead of claiming an unconditional damage rotation.
- The 審判 row ties it to shield-skill use; the 庇護一擊 row explicitly says it enables 審判.

Party shield option
奈薩肯盾牌 / stigma
When this Stigma is unlocked and equipped, choose it for a party-protection practice preset.
Why compare it: The shield affects both you and nearby party members, giving a distinct support reason for the choice.
- Stigma availability and advancement differ from mastery points. The shield is described as a proportion of maximum HP, without a coefficient.

What these sources do not establish
- This guide does not supply per-skill character unlock levels or point costs. No level-specific fully allocated preset is established.
- Exact cooldowns, damage/healing coefficients, specialization-number choices and point-budget legality were not established from these descriptive rows.
- Practice on eligible targets; no boss-control guarantee, DPS ranking, optimal rotation or simultaneous Stigma-slot capacity is inferred.
Personal defense versus protecting the group
Choose this role if you want responsibility for holding the front and protecting teammates. Compare your defensive and ally-protection tools before chasing an unsupported damage rotation.
The questions below are our editorial preparation method, anchored to that role rather than a tested strongest setup.
- Which attack must you survive yourself?
- When does another player need your protection?
- Can you maintain the front while handling the encounter mechanic?
Turn the goal into a client-specific preset
The Taiwan skill guide distinguishes active and passive mastery skills, specialization conditions and Stigma advancement. Ordinary skill points and Stigma fragments are different resources. Read the effect and prerequisite in your current client before spending either.
For this sword and shield role, record the weapon and equipment effects you already have, the current skill names you intend to change, and the encounter you want to handle. No universal stat breakpoint, exact slot count or best-in-slot list is assumed.
Make one change you can evaluate
Keep incoming attacks and party conditions comparable. A damage-only test cannot judge an ally-protection choice.
Save the purpose, client patch and actual choices below. The manual damage-test calculator can compare your own measured totals, but a damage number cannot replace healing, control or protection responsibilities.
Your build notebook
Write the exact choices shown in your client and what you want to test. This is a personal worksheet, not a point-budget simulator, a recommended rotation or a best-in-slot verdict.
Only Save writes these notes to this browser. Restore is explicit. Changing a game patch does not update the notes automatically.
