AION 2 Spacetime Rift Guide
A spacetime rift is a temporary passage into the opposing faction's territory. The timer helps you plan when to look for it; the game confirms whether you can enter.
Guide checked 09 October 2026. Rules differ between services and may change after updates. This guide covers ordinary spacetime rifts, not the separate rift contest event.
How to enter a spacetime rift
- Choose your service. Open the rift timer and select Taiwan or Korea. Your game service determines the schedule; your display time zone only changes how you see it.
- Prepare before the scheduled opening. Check the next time, then use an opt-in sound reminder or export the seven-day calendar.
- Check the in-game world map. The Taiwan official guide says rift locations can be confirmed on the map. Use the current game marker rather than assuming a permanent gate location.
- Go to the generated passage. Check the gate's current availability and your character's eligibility in the game.
- Enter within the actual entry window. The Taiwan guide states that ordinary channels open for 15 minutes. Availability may also be affected by service conditions or updated rules.
Three different times to keep separate
| Timing | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Opening interval | When the next gate is expected to appear. Official Taiwan and Korea updates changed this interval to three hours. |
| Entry window | How long an opened passage can be entered. Taiwan's ordinary-rift guide states 15 minutes; the Korea window is not verified here. |
| Time after entering | Your permitted stay in the opposing territory. This is a separate game rule and is not measured by this countdown. |
What happens at countdown zero?
The tool advances to the next scheduled opening. For Taiwan it can also show an expected entry window based on the published 15-minute rule. That label is a prediction, not confirmation from the game server. If a gate is missing or inaccessible, follow the game notice and check recent maintenance or patch announcements.
How often do rifts appear?
The official December 3, 2025 updates list 02:00, 05:00, 08:00 and 11:00 and specify a three-hour interval. The repeated daily cycle is 02:00, 05:00, 08:00, 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 20:00 and 23:00 in the respective service's own time zone.
Where should I look for the gate?
Use the rift location guide for the map-based checking process. This website does not receive live gate coordinates, capacity or character eligibility from AION 2.
