AION 2 / Field guide
Assassin: role and build decisions
Stealth-based close-range attacker. Read separately sourced Taiwan weapon and role details, purpose-specific choices and a local build worksheet.
Assassin in the official overviews
Global class overview: Stealth-based close-range attacker.
Taiwan guide — 殺星: Daggers. Uses stealth to approach and attack from behind. Fast dagger attacks combine with poison, stun and chained techniques.
The weapon and detailed role statements are from the Taiwan guide. They are not numerical Global build testing or proof that every regional patch uses identical effects.
Taiwan starter choices: learn a documented interaction
Compare a mark-building pair with a rear-positioning pair; these are two practice patterns, not a complete optimal rotation.
Official Taiwan skill names are retained so you can find them in that client. English labels explain the task; they are not verified Global skill names. Use only choices you have actually unlocked, and equip a Stigma only when available. These four options are not an equip-all loadout, a point allocation or a strongest rotation.
Mark-building chain
猛獸咆哮 猛獸後踢 猛獸揮擊 / active
Use the 猛獸咆哮 / 猛獸後踢 / 猛獸揮擊 chain to apply the guide’s 紋樣 mark.
Why compare it: A visible mark state gives the following choice a measurable purpose without inventing damage numbers.
- The row describes applying one mark and reduced combat speed. Do not invent a maximum stack count or duration.

Mark-scaling damage and control
紋樣爆炸 / active
Compare this action before and after building marks on the same eligible target.
Why compare it: The official text explicitly links stacked marks to greater damage and a higher stun chance.
- Marks improve the stated effect; the guide does not say a mark is an absolute activation requirement or that the skill consumes marks.

Rear-positioning option
暗襲 / active
Choose this to move behind a target, then check your actual position before the next attack.
Why compare it: It creates a practical positioning exercise for the rear-bonus option.
- The turn/stun effects are chance-based in the guide. Movement alone is not a guarantee that a moving target remains exposed.

Rear-bonus attack
突襲 / active
Use this while actually behind the target to practice its stated rear-attack bonus.
Why compare it: It connects a named movement skill with an explicit positional benefit.
- The increased-damage condition is attacking from behind. No bonus percentage is supplied.

What these sources do not establish
- This guide does not supply per-skill character unlock levels or point costs. No level-specific fully allocated preset is established.
- Exact cooldowns, damage/healing coefficients, specialization-number choices and point-budget legality were not established from these descriptive rows.
- Practice on eligible targets; no boss-control guarantee, DPS ranking, optimal rotation or simultaneous Stigma-slot capacity is inferred.
Approach, position, then connect the sequence
Consider whether you enjoy positioning, choosing an opening and combining control with close-range attacks. Read the current prerequisites of linked skills instead of assuming an old sequence still works.
The questions below are our editorial preparation method, anchored to that role rather than a tested strongest setup.
- Can you approach in stealth in this situation?
- Which attack actually requires a position or preceding effect?
- Do you need the poison, stun or another control effect for this target?
Turn the goal into a client-specific preset
The Taiwan skill guide distinguishes active and passive mastery skills, specialization conditions and Stigma advancement. Ordinary skill points and Stigma fragments are different resources. Read the effect and prerequisite in your current client before spending either.
For this daggers role, record the weapon and equipment effects you already have, the current skill names you intend to change, and the encounter you want to handle. No universal stat breakpoint, exact slot count or best-in-slot list is assumed.
Make one change you can evaluate
Write down the starting position, target type and which control effects worked. A sequence tested from behind is not automatically comparable with one started face-to-face.
Save the purpose, client patch and actual choices below. The manual damage-test calculator can compare your own measured totals, but a damage number cannot replace healing, control or protection responsibilities.
Your build notebook
Write the exact choices shown in your client and what you want to test. This is a personal worksheet, not a point-budget simulator, a recommended rotation or a best-in-slot verdict.
Only Save writes these notes to this browser. Restore is explicit. Changing a game patch does not update the notes automatically.
